Tornado possible HM2000 or classic
« on: June 18, 2014, 05:38:27 PM »
Hola,

I was lucky enough to pick up a tornado table last week for $50. Walked in and ran out with it. Nice table super pleased with it, great rods, counterweighted players, excellent box in great condition. Two laminate strip on top side missing but thats an easy fix.
The table however does not have the tornado tag on the end wall so I have no idea of when it was made or what type the table actually is. I found a number stamped on the bottom of the box 0071902 and thats about it. The logo and some research say its one of the older models 1987 - 199X with end returns and boots on the table legs.
My question; Is there any way I can get a replacement tag for the table? should I even bother? Will the manufacturer be able to tell me?
I already put a contact email into Dynamo, haven't heard anything yet so I thought I would ask the group here.

No need to buy a replacement tag. From your description it sounds like a Whirlwind or Sport. $50 is a good price! Post a pic and we can tell for sure.

Very nice! Yes I think you are right that it's a HM2000. Great find and $50 is a steal!

Couldn't believe my luck when I walked in and saw the table. The previous owners didn't really care much about it, they just wanted it gone which I happily did.  ;D

Are you in Utah? I feel like this is the same table that I saw on a local classifieds (KSL) like two weeks ago.
