Tornado rods.
« on: August 29, 2014, 11:27:29 PM »
I'm looking for rods for my tornado home model and for my friends coin-open tornado. I need to get them as cheap as possible. Any help would be great.

They sell the new coin op rods here on this site for a fair price... I've bought a few here no problem.  http://shop.foosball.com/fts-110-061.html

You may be able to find some in the used market... I found a complete set on eBay a while ago and luckily it turned out well...  this said, used bars may involve slight bends, fatigue from prev straightening, rust / corrosion / pitting, worn / different finish, out of spec pin holes.  Depends what you are looking for... performance or just a hack table...

You really gotta run the numbers on the home table... how many rods and how much the project will cost in total... compare this to craigslist for similar intact tables.  I suppose you could attempt a frankenstein with another crap 5/8 table by getting out your micrometer.

If I recall... some tornado home rods may be 9/16"... so measure twice.

hi Duckie.
There were some Tornado rods for sale on craigslist in Colorado. A bunch of sets, listing is not appearing now so may have been sold. Foozul here on the site has different rods for sale. I purchased some fireball rods off him for $100 with men. 8 fireball rods 26men 130 with shipping. Rods work awesome in my HM2000 and the Tornado men fit them as well.
I have foozuls email address is you are interested and cant contact him in the forum.
