I finally finished this hobby project. Just thought I'd share:
http://s12.photobucket.com/user/bknowell/library/Tornado%20Brown%20Marble%20foosball%20tableI bought this table off Craigslist from a gentleman in Green Bay, WI shortly after I played my first game of foosball last year.
Updates(new replacements):

-balls
Repairs:

-loose/ stripped goal box deflector
-loose leg leveler plates
-chipped/ damaged laminate
Customizations:
-reversible ball return modification
-table top topper
-beverage preventers
-blackened and finished bare fiberboard edges on the ball access hole and serving holes
-beveled and hardened bare goal edges(to prevent goal blow-out)
-painted yellow scoring marker posts
-subtle accent colors added(orange for yellow/blue for black)

The table plays great now thanks to all the help from info and ideas posted on this site. Thanks to:

It has a new home in a friends kids basement game room, where it should see a lot of use. Perhaps by future foos ambassadors? I've only played in one tournament so far. I'll probably let you guys beat me up in Joliet in October.
