T3000 playing surface?
« on: March 15, 2018, 10:08:08 PM »
Hi there,

I just purchased a used T3000.  Rods straight - no chips in the cabinet

But the table surface is slippery, I have cleaned the surface/balls with Rubbing alcohol and still slippery.

I have heard the T3000 men have a slightly different shaped foot but would this have any effect?

Bought a 10 pack of new Tornado ball and the table is good.  Wow, these new balls are fuzzy.  A tiny bit slower but way more control.   All good now.

New men I believe are nylon, we have a mix of new- old on our local pub table can't really tell the difference. Now the ball is a different story   :o. If you ever plan on attending a tour stop these are the balls you will see.

Good Luck!

Hey Snake,

Thxs for your reply, I plan on visiting the Hall of Fame Classic in a few days, should be awesome.  I would like to compete but I haven't played in quite a while and not tournament ready.

I hope they will have some table parts for sale - as I would like to purchase another 10 balls or so.

However with the shape of the foot changed slightly - I think it allows for a smoother pull shot somehow.  As my pull shot on my previous Cyclone from 15 + years ago, didnt' quite feel as good.    Am I out to lunch - or does anyone else think the new shape of the foot lends to a better pull shot?
