« on: October 24, 2018, 01:11:31 AM »
Hi I'm a newby looking to buy a table for casual fun.  Can you help my identify this table?  owner says its made by Tornado and doesn't know the  model.   but it's clearly a Shelti, but I don't know the model and if this is a good deal or not.

Thanks in advance

Not a Tornado, not made by Tornado. I would pass. Not worth nearly $300.

It's an older model Pro Foos II...
... if the playfield is flat (not warped),
... if the sidewalls are straight (not bowed, not water damaged)...
... and the rods are straight (not bent or pitted)...  I'd value it at 300 to 400.

Parts are available for this table... and it has great play characteristics.   It's slower and lacks the power game of Tornado a bit.
But that's not altogether a bad thing for new foosers.  This table is much better than used tables in the $100 to $200 range (off brands with no spare parts and poor play features)... or NEW TABLES in the $300 to $500 range where you don't have the play characteristics of "advanced game/sport of foos" (nor spare parts for eventual need).    The cabinet is very solid.  The 1 piece bushing/bearing a pain for maintenance but even they can be bought and replaced to tune up of this table.

Thanks for the info guys,  very helpful.
I'll probably keep looking and will likely ask another question.
