Bonzini lubricant to use
« on: December 14, 2023, 11:04:24 AM »
Just recently acquired a Bonzini table.  I'm finding different info on which lubricant to use for the rods.  Some suggestions are teflon-based, but others like Bonzini in France says to use vaseline oil.  Any ideas or experience with either type?

The choice of lubricant is up to you. You may want to try both Teflon-based lubricant and Vaseline oil to see which one works best for your table

There are many who advise applying a metallic lubricant, like silicon-based lubricant. This kind of lubricant can maintain the rod's smoothness and enhance the friction that exists between the rod and the ball. This can lead to a smoother experience and better playing performance. To get the perfect amount of friction and smoothness for your playing circumstances and tastes, test and modify the amount of lubricant.
