Title: Foosball Table Surfaces??
Post by: Jerbearm on August 15, 2008, 09:34:36 AM
How important is table surface?.. for instance i want a slower more strategic game.. i can buy cork balls.. but does the surface material *i know bonzinis which are known for the strat/control they bring to the game use linoleum.* How much of a impact will it have if i dont have that type of table surface *seems like the surface i have is pretty grippy so to speak but i dont think its the same as bonzini*.

Anyhow foosball newb here looking for answers.. thanks a bunch :)

As long as you don't have that year table when they changed the texture of the surface to extremely slick, in the late 90's, you should be okay.

As far as the surface is concerned, it will affect the style of play more than the speed of play, and the ball used in combo with the type of surface is also a huge factor.

Speed of play is just as you said, a personal preference.
