I am looking for a robust table with 3 features:
1. Counterbalanced men that will stay exactly where I leave them
2. 1 goalie
3. Telescopic rods
I played foosball for hundreds and hundreds of hours as a kid. Since we learned on our own, and never saw anyone do it in the 'right' way, we developed an unusual style. One of the byproducts is that I move my right hand very, very quickly between the front 3 rows ... such that my hand gets impaled when I play with push-through rods :(
My brain also got used to a single goalie, and I prefer it aesthetically as well. I also leave the rows with the men in specific positions, and want them to remain there.
As I search for a table to buy so that I can start playing again, I am having trouble finding one with all 3 of these features.
It seems the premier US style tables all have push-through rods and 3-player goalies. The Euro style tables don't seem to offer counterbalanced men (this baffles me - how does one play without them??).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (I am in Canada, but hopefully could have a table shipped from anywhere.)

Tough request. Maybe Roberto Sport? Telescopic rods but not sure if counterbalanced men. You can get conversion kits to make a Tornado into a single goalie but no telescopic rods.

Gonna be hard to find all 3 of those on the wishlist. There are a bunch of good tables that check 2 boxes. ST might be on to something with the Roberto Sport but I don't know if the men are counterweighted or if they are available in Canada.

Videos on YouTube show the Roberto Sport having clearly unbalanced men :(
I'm thinking I might have to give up on the telescopic rods, install plastic tube protectors, and go with a 1-goalie Tornado or a Leonhart. I can't imagine giving up on the counterbalanced requirement. I do not understand how the Euro players can play singles without it?

I have a Tornado with the protective covers over the rod ends because I have young children and want to prevent injury. I also wanted a single goalie at first to because I came from playing on a TS table. I learned to love the three man goal with flat corners, you can set up 2 bar shots easier and get quick left hooks with them when playing singles. There is a slight leaning curve at first but that goes away very quickly, I still see occasional slop goals coming off the goalie wing feet but you'll get slop goals with ramped corners too.
