General Chat / Hi all
« Last post by Romem1952 on December 20, 2024, 05:08:34 AM »
Hi all,
The reason I write to see if they can help me since there is not much information about it.
I am building my own table warrior same measures, and because I have children at home, I chose the parts of the warrior brand the rods, bearing, guards etc.
Does the bearing male warrior model 2017 know what is the ideal size for the hole in the side wall for this bearing male?
I hope you can help me
Cheers

Rules Questions / Re: Wall count question
« Last post by Slow But Effective on December 16, 2024, 04:24:12 PM »
If a stopped ball is passed from 5 rod to 3 rod - it is still illegal even if deflect off opposing 5 rod.  There is no  active possession.  It is not a stretch to apply same logic that deflects off man and hits wall.

The rules also deal with this situation -- it's called an "indirect-pass" (not sure why the rules use the hyphen here). Stretch or not, what I'm really looking for here is a definitive *ruling*. Are there any active referees reading this? How do you rule in this case? Do you start the wall count at 1 or 0? On what basis do you make this determination?

If this forum is not the proper place to get a definitive interpretation of the rules, where does one go for that?

Hi. This is one of those ones that, in my opinion, the reffing practice differs from the rules. You've analyzed it all correctly, e.g., that active possession begins when you can reach the ball. I think the rule should be changed to reference controlled possession instead of active possession. That first bounce off the wall doesn't count if you haven't first brought the ball into control. P.S. I'm not a ref. As to where to go to get answers, your best bet is to seek out certified refs at tournaments, and the full formal route is to "request an interpretation from the ITSF Rules Commission". I'm not sure how to do that though. :-)

General Chat / Kettler brand
« Last post by Crin19 on December 16, 2024, 02:17:32 AM »
I bought a kettler table from costco today for $699.99. I havent heard much about this brand on here (im a foosball noob). Does anyone know if it is a good enough table? Any positive or negative comments on it will help. The tornados were out of my price range.

Good thing is it is costco so i can always return it.

hi, have a tiny, scratch on the playing surface of my tornado table involving the red part of the logo/emblem.

Any tips on howto fix this or make it less visible? I could use a red marker, but it wouldn’t match exactly, and would probably not be much less noticeable.

Does anyone know what the playing surface is made out of?

The playing surface of a Tornado table is usually made of a laminate or plastic material, often with a textured finish. To fix a small scratch, you could try using a laminate repair kit, or for a temporary solution, a matching red touch-up paint might work, though it won't be perfect. Just be careful not to over-apply, as it could stand out more.

Hey everyone,

I am new to foosball and recently got hooked on the game. I am looking for some tips and advice to improve my skills especially when it comes to ball control and passing...
What are some beginner friendly techniques or drills that can help me get better. Also if there are any common mistakes I should avoid as a beginner I would love to know. I am eager to learn and would appreciate any suggestions or resources like videos or articles that could help me improve.
I also read on this https://www.imperialusa.com/post/how-to-get-good-at-foosball-and-improve-your-technique-geometry dashsap-analytics but I could not found anything.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Looking forward to your advice.

To learn how to control the ball and halt its motion, practice "catching" it with your rods.

General Chat / Foosball Tables For Sale (By Owner)
« Last post by HoldDezNutts on November 23, 2024, 10:53:08 PM »

Hello everybody I'm starting this post in the forum because I can't find a standard post that is strictly for "Foosball Tables For Sale". Tomorrow is also,  *I'm not going to say a good friend's, but I'll say an awesome acquaintance's*, birthday. This man is a foosball fanatic more than anybody I've ever met. If he were to see anyone, man, woman or child, spin a bar on a foosball table, then he would knock them out in public, at Chuck e cheese, a bar or at your mom's house, it doesn't matter. Long story short I'm trying to find him a good Tornado foosball table. He says tornado is the best followed by Warrior. My budget is tight and I live in the Northwest Arkansas area so if anybody could point me in the right direction or help me out I greatly appreciate it. On the real, this he's an ass hole, he is one of my best and closest friends so I really wanna surprise him with this one.

To improve your ball control and passing, here are a few tips:

Ball Control:

Use soft, controlled taps to move the ball around, rather than hard hits.
Practice "catching" the ball with your rods to stop its momentum and keep it under control.
Passing:

Work on simple passing from your 3-bar to your 2-bar. Practice short, controlled passes and gradually build speed.
Use the wall technique: pass the ball against the side walls of the table to control the direction.
YouTube has plenty of tutorials, and you can check out sites like Foosballers or Foosball.com for specific drills and techniques.

I just picked up the same table.  What would you value one of these at for resale?
