General Chat / Re: Where to find a good fooseball table?

Try craigslist  and facebook marketplace  as well as any other similar site. Hold out until you find a nice tornado, a  commercial quality would be best option but the Cyclone II  is not bad if thats what you can find. The Storm II is okay. I would not bother with other lower tier Tornado tables.

General Chat / Newbie Ball Selection Question
« Last post by foos4fun on February 02, 2024, 10:40:16 PM »
Hello.  I'm new here and to foosball.

My family recently picked up a simple foosball table and we're enjoying learning to actually play the game properly using proper shooting, passing, ball control, etc.  I need some help trying to purchase a decent ball that fits my table.

Through trial and error, I've learned that my table needs a 1.5" (36mm) ball diameter.  When I purchased quality balls they are often smaller and cause a lot of dead spots on my table.  I'm struggling to find 1.5" balls that are quality cork or textured balls.  The 1.5" balls I find are the junky hard plastic soccer style.  Can someone recommend a quality textured and cork ball option that is 1.5"?  I've seemed to search everywhere with little luck.

Lastly, how do I search the forums on this website?  I couldn't find a place to search the forums before I posted this question.

Thanks in advance.

General Chat / Re: Tornado Foosball Bearing Nut Dimensions? Leg bolt size?
« Last post by Lamity2001 on January 22, 2024, 02:42:53 AM »
Hi, I'm looking at purchasing a coin-op tornado foosball table (T2000, brown marble, I think), and I will need to take it apart to transport it in my vehicle. Rather than spending money ordering a tornado bearing/bushing wrench, I would like to 3D print my own bushing wrench. For that reason, I need to know: what size hexagon is the bushing? (E.g. 1 in across the flats?) The tool I want to 3D print is this one. Amazon says the package is 1x2x5 inches. https://www.amazon.com/Tornado-Foosball-Bearing-Wrench/dp/B001023R3Y uno online

I do have pliers to use if necessary, but I'd rather not goober anything up. I have a 5/32" pin punch (from a set I will bring, so I have smaller and larger) that I planned to use for removing the men if I need to.

A second question is if anyone knows what size socket wrench I will need to take the legs off, and what size I will need to take the top off of the cabinet. I may be able to fit it into my vehicle with just the top playing field off, but I'd like to be able to take the legs off also, in case that is necessary. Any information is appreciated!
I have no idea.

General Chat / Re: How much do you think this tornado table worth?
« Last post by celinecdc on January 17, 2024, 02:45:39 AM »
That estimate sounds about right.  It doesn't have the new side-strips or thin bearing - nor, I assume, the new men.  Still a good table that should get snapped-up.  Best of luck.driving directions
Where are you located?  I hope you are selling so that you can buy a new T-3000!  If it's due to lack of competition - where are you?
I prefer the Tornado tables,  (T3000).   what are your thoughts

General Chat / Brown Marble Tornado
« Last post by Slappy360 on January 17, 2024, 02:18:18 AM »
Hi all, newbie here. I've had a Brown Marble coin op for 30 years that I bought from a bar in Fayetteville NC back in 1994. It had been in that bar for many years before then. It's been a great table! I am looking for some replacement men for it. Also, need to get a replacement key for it
Any help on sources would be greatly appreciated!

General Chat / Tornado 25th Anniversary Coin Op Table Advice Requested
« Last post by Fred on January 16, 2024, 02:07:34 PM »
I have a Tornado 25th anniversary coin operated table that is in very good condition. My kids are now grown and we do not use the table very often. I’m debating on whether to keep for my future grandchildren to play or to go ahead and sell now. Any thoughts based on similar experience? What is most appropriate place to list if selling? Any thoughts on value? I spoke to Valley-Dynamo about the table. They said they produced a very limited quantity of this version. Would appreciate any feedback.

General Chat / Re: Italian table advice
« Last post by mariciawhite on January 15, 2024, 05:44:41 PM »
1. Your understanding is generally correct.

2. I think Italian tables typically have a faster and more responsive playing surface. They often feature a hard laminate or glass surface, which can result in quicker gameplay and more controlled shots. American tables, like the Tornado, are known for their durability and robust construction. They usually have a slower and more forgiving playing surface, which can be beneficial for beginners or players who prefer a more relaxed style of play.
