Trying to get an idea of the player base to see what type of tournament we could put together.

That is the deal. We are unsure where it would be held. I am just trying to get an idea of what type of payout we should be offering based on player interests. We are still in the planning phases at this time but are considering Pierre or Rapid City. We are having trouble locating enough T3000 tables and are considering holding this tournament on lower grade (T2000) tables. There are currently no known T3000 tables anywhere in the state except for the 2 in Rapid City that I own. If you have any ideas or can offer assistance let me know.

Well, based on the response there will be no planning involved with a state tournament. Maybe next year huh?

Dunno why this caught my attention but...

In your consideration of locations, there was a tournament several years ago in Deadwood and I've been waiting for someone to hold another one there. It was one of the most enjoyable events I've been to... great town with plenty of options for food and "entertainment". It pulled players from the Dakotas, Iowas, Minnesota and Colorado.

Just something to think about.
