That's it in a nutshell OM. Pictures where people pose and smile are fine but they don't really interest me.
Pictures that show pure, natural, and unrehearsed emotion is what I try to catch. A unique split second in time. Usually when someone sees one of those shots, they can remember exactly what they were thinking or doing at the time.
Case and point. Of all the shots I took, I think my favorite was the one I took of Tommy to the far left of the frame with the crowd in the background. In the first one, he was smiling. In the second one, a look of very deep thought about something. To me, this is a priceless shot.
Knowing Tommy, I look at this photo and run the full gambit of what he might be thinking, and that's what makes it fun for me to shoot those kind of photos.
