Foos on TV
« on: February 10, 2009, 12:50:12 PM »
This is copied from the other message board and I have nothing to do with it other than I thought it is worth posting it here:
FOOSBALLPRO LLC / FOOSBALL MASTER TOUR
After 3 years of effort at last it can be announced: 02/10/2009
The FOOSBALL MASTERTOUR will have its first episodes filmed in Las Vegas at Tornado’s Hall of Fame
Classic from March 11th to the 15th. The cameras are rolling Wednesday afternoon the 11th until Friday the
13th. The FMT will shoot an invitational exclusive 16 team doubles event. Single elimination 2 out of 3 games
to 5, random NON- seeded bracket. Meatnut is in effect!
Valley-Dynamo is a major sponsor of the show and made great efforts above and beyond to work with FMT. I
wish to thank Valley-Dynamo President David Tomizuka, VP Dave Courington, and Gregg Elliott of VIFA for
making this possible.
VERSUS NETWORK is our television partner and will air the show in May. I will announce the specific air
dates and times as they get close. VERSUS is also working with us on their website. Look for promo trailers
later this month and sign up for the new Foosball table and other prizes we will be giving away via a drawing
after the show airs.
VERSUS is a new and dynamic network with cutting edge programming like MMA fights, NHL Hockey, the Tour
de France, college football and basketball, and other great sporting and outdoor events.
VIZIO is a sponsor on board and we are in negotiation with a number of others. I will update you with those as
well.
Our production crew is top notch and features 2 Emmy award winners for production and filming , as well as
the amazing talents of Mark Teague, a former Disney director and President of Dreamhaven Studios.
Here’s the invitation list for the 16 Men’s Doubles teams:
1) Tommy Adkisson 16) Robert Mares
2) Serge Aragones 17) Dana Marr
3) Robert Atha 1  Tracy McMillan
4) Steve Beine 19) Ryan Moore

12) Eric Dunn 27) Tony Spredeman
13) Eddie Gartman 2  Matt Steward
14) Dave Gummeson 29) ScottWydman
15) Todd Loffredo 30) Adrian Zamora
You will notice that’s 30 out of a possible 32 players. The final 2 spots are available.
The players can pair up in a Bring Your Partner based from this list.
The players on this list were selected based on skill, table presence, and type of shot.
The entry fee is $500 per team. The deadline to send the money to FMT is February 20th.
All payments must clear by the 20th or your spot will be filled! Credit Cards , checks, etc.
Some of these players may not be able to attend. In that eventuality, the open spots will be filled by remaining
Masters or Pros who contact me at: phil@foosballmastertour.com.
There are many great players out there and we will expand the roster as we move forward. These are our pilot
episodes and can only contain so much content. Future episodes will feature Singles, Mixed Doubles, and
Women’s events.
Payouts:
1st - $7500 (win 4 matches)
2nd - $2000 (win 3 matches)
3/4th - $1500 (win 2 matches)
5/8th - $500 (win one match)
9/16th - $0 (lose first round)
The dress code will be a bit looser than the USTSA requirements. We need to show some individuality so tshirts
and cargo shorts will be allowed. Even some sleeveless shirts will be allowed depending upon my approval
beforehand. However, any non-sponsored pieces(such as a NIKE shirt) will not be allowed. Also, no
rock band shirts and such that have logos(this may loosen up for future episodes). Versus Network has policies
that outline this. Please get to me with what you would like to wear for final approval. I will supply the active
sponsor logos to you to put on your shirts and hats. Tornado, Vizio, etc. Matching teams is suggested but not
mandatory.
Wednesday March 11th is interview day. We need all participants present by 4pm. The event will begin at 11am
SHARP Thursday March 12th. Friday is allotted for holdover. Failure to be prompt for any match will result in a
back-up team taking your place, forfeiture of your entry fee and exclusion from future FMT filmings!
The regular Hall of Fame tournament schedule will be changed to accommodate the filming schedule. Stay
tuned to the VIFA website for those changes.
DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO BE A PART OF FOOSBALL HISTORY!

This I gotta see...

So that's  $8000 in entry fees with 16 teams forking $500 for entries.
Total prizes at $14,500 means someone's paying out $6,500 additional.
VERSUS is sponsoring this add-in?  Or the casino?  Not bad!

Is this going to be televised on the Versus channel? If it is, then I need to subscribe.
