lol , well youre right i shouldnt "blame" my partner, but its hard not to "notice" when you draw someone that doesnt play and was talked into the tourney cause we needed one more person. I approach it wanting to win the tourney , not the money . (kinda hard to get all bothered over $10) So its not costing me much at all, just hasnt gone my way yet. I guess i should have clarified that i was talkin bout cash tourneys with friends at my house, not true cash games.

Did anybody see Tommy Adkisson play Diaz after our finals match in Alanta?  It was for $20 and Tommy couldn't move his 2 man rod when Bobby had the ball on his 3-rod.  Tommy was calling his 2-man rod "Stationary Man".  After he beat Diaz there was talk about a rematch or 2 out of 3.  Tommy told Diaz it couldn't happen because Stationary man was tired.  :)

It is good to hear that some of you foosers play  "for reals". Personally, I think it builds your game to play for something, even who pays for the next game! Remember without an opponent there is NO GAME and give them the respect they deserve or you will lose for sure. It's a steal world and livin' with the ball is the way to be!

Of course this is all theoretical, because gambling on foosball is illegal ;)

I completely agree.  Everyone knows, down here near our no-limit Poker dogtracks and Indian or HardRock Casinos, that illegal gambling leads to loss of hearing, eventual blindness, chronic vitamin B-12 deficiency, and grows hair on your palms!  Now who would want that?

Me and my roommate usually challenge people to who buys the next round.  We always share with our opponents anyways so it works out.

Playing foosball for money is not gambling.  Games of chance lead to outcomes of luck.  Games of skill are unlike games of luck.  The more you practice, the less of a luck factor is involved.  In recent times even poker has been shown in court to have such a high skill factor that is does not fail the gambling test.  If you ever get criminally prosecuted for playing foosball for money, consider getting a poker pro to be your expert defense witness!
