Just bought an all wood table, no name...
« on: September 26, 2012, 10:36:43 PM »
Hey guys,

I found this table outside at a neighbors house, and he was selling it for $20 so I couldn't resist. It's my first real table, loved the game for years, and hope to share it for many more through this table if I can keep it going. Here are some pictures:

I was wondering if anyone had any idea what it could be, it has no markings anywhere. The walls where the bearings rest are 1 1/8" :/  From everything I've seen all the replacement parts are for 1" or 1.5". These have screw type sides with a bearing in the handle side. The rods are 5/8". I've been searching and haven't really found the part I've been looking for. There's at least two on this table that need replacement right away, and it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to do a few more. Any ideas on bearing parts would be appreciated. The broken one looks like this, with the bearing part actually inside the already broken larger plastic part:

Also what kind of ball would be preferred on a table like this? The board is wood and sides are wood. I feel like the generic 'soccer ball' style balls would make a lot of noise and eat at the wood sidings like it already has. I'd like to use this table to it's full potential, any tips would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that's a Harvard, but I could be wrong.

From looking them up, it seems a good possibility, but I haven't seen one with such ornate legs.

Well the real reason I want to know is to be able to find replacement parts, but they seem to be on very short supply for this brand. I can probably revive most of these parts with some DIY, but it'll take some time. A few of the plastic parts are pretty broken though so I might have to find some sort of suitable replacement.
Any ideas if some other parts would fit well enough to be usable?

It's a Harvard. Call the manufacturer for guidance on replacement parts.
