Tornado Sport table five-man doesn't stay in place
« on: September 27, 2013, 01:17:15 AM »
We just bought a Tornado Sport for the office to replace our sportcraft, and we're immediately seeing an issue with the five-man bar rotating down when not held. My immediate instinct is that this is because the men aren't counter balanced, but it seems crazy to me that a $900 table would have this issue. It's almost unusable in 1v1 play.

Did we do something wrong? Or do we have to drop another $130 bucks on counter balanced men? Again, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills that this would be a standard part of a $900 table. Especially when our super cheap sportcraft had the players stay in place and not rotate without issue. Please tell me we are dumb and not the table (and also what we can do to fix it hah).

Unfortunately, you have discovered that a Tornado Sport is a $900 table without counter-balanced men. If it's not too late to return it, you can often find used, high-end Tornado tables in great condition that do have counter-balanced men for less than you paid for your Sport. Otherwise, the only solution I know of is to replace the men.
