That put them into the round of 16 versus Denmark. We win that match and advace to the Quarter Finals! Losing in the round of 16 and tying for 9th-16th are... CzechRepublic, Japan, Great Britain, Ireland, CostaRica... ... ... ...
We match up against France and their Bonzini table on the Pit tables in front of the Inisde Foos cameras in an amazing match... France takes the lead after the 4 singles matches 3 - 1.... Next up 4 doubles matches.... We win one.. they win one... it's now 4 - 2.... we win won... it's 4 - 3.... last regular doubles match... it's a "nail biter"... we get it... and it's all tied up folks at 4 - 4!
Wow... they go to the final "extra doubles" match to see who will win 5 - 4...

heh heh.. Just kidding... (but seriously.. it'll be one of the greatest DVD's out in the market with Jim Stevens/Christina Fuchs/Iceman Moore and Brad Andersons efforts on behalf of inside foos and table sports radio get their product together.
back to the match....
9th and final doubles match... 3 games to 7 points makes up the match, 1 game on tornado, 1 game on bonzini... and if this is a split.... we go to the 3rd tie break game to 7 which is played in an alternate table format 3balls on table T, 3balls on table B, 3 on T, 3 on B, then 1 on T, 1 on B, 1 on T, 1 on B.......... until someone get's to 7 first BUT WINNING BY TWO POINTS. Several matches were 6-6 then they had to bounce from table to table trying to essentially "break serve" on the opposing countries table.
Unfortunately.... after an amazing effort...we fall short... and lose in this Quarter finals match.
USA finishes tied for 5th-8th with... hmmm... i can't recall at the moment.
