I purchased a Rene Pierre table this weekend at an auction. The playing surface, men and virtually everything above the hinges is in reasonably good shape. The cabinet, however, needs a great deal of work. The legs are ok and sides are acceptable, but both end pieces need to be replaced. Based on the ball return I would suspect that it was originally a commercial model.  I would like to have it restored and live in North Carolina. Any suggestions from the experts here?

Where in NC are you located? I'm in Raleigh and am restoring an old Bonzini B-60 coin-op (documented here: http://foosball.com/forum/index.php?topic=5058.0). If you have photos of your table, we might be able to give you an idea of what the restoration could involve. If it's just the end pieces, it may just need some simple carpentry.

Kevin,

Thanks for the answer. I'm west of you between Wilkesboro and Boone. Great suggestion, I'll post some pictures later.

I really enjoyed your thread and the suggestions..
