« on: January 18, 2007, 04:57:56 PM »
hey guys, new to the forum. i have a tornado storm II at home and i was wondering about uprading some parts on it. what are the parts that are interchangeble with the tournament quality tables?  what about the men, are the ones one the storm II couterbalanced? and if not, what is the difference?  what about the bearing systems. can i get the split bearing/bearing nut system for my storm II.  and finally rods, i've got some bent rods from play and i was wondering what are the best rods to buy. (for the quality of the rods and the cost). well i guess that's all i got.

Men...
Storms come with the same "counter balanced men" that are on the Cyclone, TP-2000 & T-2000 coin op!
Note that the manufacturer has been changing materials on their C/B men so colors and subtle shape changes have been sneeking into the last 2 years worth of product

Bushings/Bearings...
The "holes" cut in the sidewalls for the bushings and rods are "smaller" on the Storm II.... so unless are are pretty good with precise carpentry work, you are stuck with the snap-in bushings.   If your bushings are "worn" and "playing slower"... the slicky shiny plastic surface of the bushing the rod glides on may have some wear on them and upgrading to new ones can speed play.

Rods...
Storm's shipped with a "thinner walled" hollow rods... a .125 thickness.. where the Cyclone, TP-2000 & T-2000 coin op rods are .156 thickness.      If you buy New Tornado Rods... you will be getting the Coin Op Rods.. we don't inventory the Storm rods.
