Help with a used Coin OP table
« on: December 06, 2015, 03:26:58 PM »
Found this table being sold and only have a few pictures. I've been told it has new legs and newer rods and bushings. I haven't yet gone to see it in person to check the playing surface.

What kind of coin op table is this? Is this the cherry or mahogany Tornado table? I've only seen the brown and grey marble tables, and so this is new to me. What sort of price is one of these tables worth if in good condition?

Looks like a cherry, check for blown out or chipped goals. Make sure playing surface is not warped also. How much are the asking? If it's decent I would say $300-$400. Personally I wouldn't go over that. Some people think their tables are worth alot more than they are explain the age and market value to negotiate. Hope this helps, Snake

Also something looks fishy about those bearings, should be a 2 piece hex nut style and I'm seeing (4) screw bolt holes from outside of cabinet?? Find out if those are tornado parts, if they aren't walk away they've modified something...

I learned in an older thread (http://foosball.com/forum/index.php?topic=5829.msg25942#msg25942) that the original Brown Marble bearings looked like these. I'm thinking this is an old Brown Marble with new laminate. That laminate doesn't look like the later Cherry or Blonde tables. It actually looks like cherry-wood laminate!

Thanks everybody for your responses. They were asking for $450. With it being a bit out of my preferred range for pickup and some of the questionable aspects mentioned, I think it would be better to pass. I appreciate the help!
