I've been looking around for a T-3000 in good shape (also had my eye on a Garlando Master Champion). I read if you get with Charles and ask for a tournament used T-3000 coin-op that he sells them for ~$1,200 + shipping. The thread was from 7 years ago in the archives, so I wanted to check with you guys before I bothered him with some antiquated practice that abolished 5 years ago...

Anybody done any business with him recently that can confirm or deny this?

Yes, he still sells used tournament tables. I purchased one from him and picked it up at the Bart-O tournament in Austin, TX this year.
