Bonzini men
« on: May 08, 2017, 03:54:13 PM »
It's been quite a few years since I played on a Bonzini or Rene Pierre and I remember that it was a real problem playing singles because the men weren't balanced and kept fall down when you tried to shoot from the back. Are these tables still like that or did the manufacturer figure it out and balance the men?

Men are not balanced, but I think that's by design, rather than the manufacturer being unable to figure out how to balance them.

does anyone make "after-market" men that could be put on a bonzini?  how interchangeable are parts?

To further add to this, it seems like the "standard" is a 14mm rod.  So technically can someone put Bonzini rods onto lets say.. Warrior table?

Warrior men onto a Bonzini table?

I guess a factor could be the width of the table but since theyre both ITSF tables they should be the same width?
