Topic: Promote Foosball in India

Hi All,

I am glad to be a part of this forum. Currently, I'm working hard on organizing a tournament to create awareness and popularity about Foosball in India. Can anyone please help me tie-up with Foosball leagues or Orgs worldwide? How do I be a part of the International Table Soccer Federation?

Any info that would help me spread the passion for foosball in India and make it a public game for our Indian foosball fans will be great!

Hi Reema, welcome to the forum. I would start by emailing the ITSF. Here is their address: info@table-soccer.org. I know that they have a development fund that is aimed at expanding foosball to new countries and India may well qualify. Do you have a tournament that you run in India? If so where is it? What kind of tables do you play on? If you gather all of this information and put it online, it may help to reach other players in your area. Good luck in your quest!!!

Thank you for the info. I already got a response from ITSF with the email ID and website of the Indian Table Soccer Federation. Was really surprised that we did have competitions for Under 19 category and India was part of the world cup since 2009 but only for this category. Wonder why the Indian Federation has not synced up with the rest of India other than Punjab!!!

Also, I have been writing to a lot of associations in the world including ITSF to fund me partially if possible to set up at least 2 professional Tables to organize professional tournaments in summer. No response on this one yet  I will wait for a good samaritan someday to send me a good table and will thank him through the international trophies we get after that!

This time i missed the opportunity to participate in "Heineken kicks-off its UEFA Champions League 2014 extravaganza in India!" ,,,MY BAD LUCK ,, as i did'nt know when it happened.
