New Foosball Documentary on Kickstarter
« on: June 23, 2016, 09:33:29 AM »
Hey foosers, we just launched a trailer and Kickstarter for a new documentary on professional foosball.  We want to share the story of foosball (both its history from the 70s and the story of current players leading up to this year's Tornado World Championships).  We've even partnered with an Emmy award winning Cinematographer who has been working for free because he believes in the cause.  But in order to make this movie a reality, we need your help. We've only shot about 20%, and have launched a Kickstarter to raise the rest of the money so we can travel the country to film some of the top players in the world.  On the Kickstarter you'll find our trailer (we got some awesome footage of Mike Bowers from the 70s and have already spent some time with some world champions like Tony Spredeman, Ryan Moore, Todd Loffredo and Rob Mares).  You can also see the incentives we are offering to those who pledge. We are offering pre-order copies of the movie, custom foosballs, T-shirts, limited edition posters, pins, movie credits and more.   If you love foosball, you'll see we are trying to make the movie that foosball deserves - we want this to look and feel like an ESPN 30 for 30. Here's the link --

The way Kickstarter works is that if we don't raise the money by July 15 (three weeks away), the project won't be funded.  So please help us spread the word and support this movie.  And a HUGE thank you to those who have already pledged.  You guys rock!!

Very cool. I'll have to check that out. Been a long time since I've seen Todd, Mike and those guys. That will be fun.
