After blocking a pass with the #1 man on the five rod (stopped less than one second) immediately bouncing it off the wall, using the side of the foot with the same man and passing it off the wall through the #1 lane, all of this happening with no hesitation......legal or not?
If I was officiatingthe match, I would call that an illegal pass for the following reason: The PASS was not immediate. The movement of the ball was "immediate", but not the actual pass. Once you stop the ball, you have to move your man from behind the ball, move the ball sideways bouncing it off of the sidewall, then PASS the ball.
and since the rule states:
23.1.1 A ball whose motion has clearly stopped may be legally passed if this pass is immediate. If there is any hesitation before the pass, the pass shall be declared illegal. Once a ball has clearly stopped and is not passed immediately it must then touch at least two player figures before it can be legally passed.
Just my 2 cents
Edit: If the ball never actually stopped moving, then the pass would be legal.
