LEGEND TABLE
« on: May 13, 2007, 09:13:35 PM »
I have had my legend table for about a week now i also own a tornado 2000
coin opp , there are some things i am not happy with on my legend table
one is the single goalie on one side hits the back wall because there off when
thay drilled the hole for the bearing  witch i think i can fix , also 1 rod had some pits on it and you could feel and hear it in the action but was able to sand them out so its much better and it was a coin opp but the did not send all  the parts so i had to build a piece to make it work and they did not send
anuff directions other then how to put the legs on  also they say my serial number is 00024 but its no where on the table just the box it came in and
the invoice so its possable that this is the 24 th table made . the things i liked about the table is medalist did a great job packing it for shippment . the look
of the cabanet its built well and heavy with built in drink racks that drain away
from the table the play is not bad but not even close to the speed of my tornado but can be improved with slick balls if one wants the price is about 500
less then a tornado 2000. any way i would have to give the table a c+ mainly because of the flaws and my tornado a b+ only becuse of the 3 man goalie
to much slop

Marty,

I read your post with interest as I designed the LEGEND table. However afterwards we parted (on good terms) as I was more focused on the subtleties of the game and the promotions.

Its amazing that something so simple as a ball texture can be SO IMPORTANT!!! You wouldn't judge DODGER stadium on a batch of poor baseballs, but then foosball is such a personal play experience. The factory got the texture wrong and i wanted to correct it before any tables shipped, but I guess that has not been addressed. With the right ball I believe you should have a lot more versatility when you get accustomed to the Legend table.

The back wall sounds like a QC issue that should have been caught at the factory. You may actually be able to loosen the top end wall/tie rod and adjust this a little. Again whats interesting here is that you are comparing a brand new design, one you are not really used to playing on, with a table that has evolved over thirty years and from what you are saying they at least compare similairly.

I will introduce a JLS, Johnny Lott Signature table in July and you're welcome to purchase the faster balls from me as my table play characteristics-wise will be similair.

thanks,

Johnny Lott

PS contact me at 951-531 7329  I have a couple of questions for you.

johnny , when i bought the table i new it would not have the speed of
my tornado but more control i grew up on tournment soccer tables so the smaller goal is no big deal. i did switch out the balls and that helped alot  most of my buddys like it over the tornado lot of old school players around here, the one faulty rod and the back goal
hitting the wall  is no way to sell tables, thanks for the tip i will give it
a try  marty
