I DONT KNOW IF ANY OF YOU ARE FROM AROUND HERE LIKE ME BUT UNLESS YOU ARE IN ONE OF THE BIGGER CITIES IN INDIANA, THE AVAILABLE PLAYING LOCATIONS ARE SCARCE, AT BEST.
I WOULD LOVE TO GET INVOLVED WITH A LEAGUE IN THIS AREA BUT NONE ARE OFFERED WITHIN REASONABLE DISTANCE FROM MYSELF.  IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION OR EXPERIENCE  INITIATING A FOOSBALL ORGANIZATION I WOULD APPRECIATE HEARING FROM YOU! :(

as things are now i think you will have a difficult time starting a league without a table vendor's involvement. as it stands now only a vendor can become a charter holder.

i was talking with Jim Waterman last year at tornado worlds about my situation that is similar to yours. i was disappointed to find out a vendor is needed as there are NO vendors here just bar owners that own there own tables.

anyways Jim told me there was a chance in the near future that VIFA would lighten the restrictions on charter holders.

you could always hold a weekly/monthly DYP at a slightly out of your way location.

make up a foosball business card with some extras like foosball forum addresses, addresses of other locations,  etc and leave them at locations, no reason you can't get a group of players in a 60+ mile radius together every week or month at a Central location.

Middlebury, IN...hmmm...  The closest player I can think of by you is Merkel like 90 mins away.

As crazy as this sounds, why don't you drive twice a month to the Chicagoland DYP?  Awesome talent from all over make the drive to Q's in Darien, IL.  Check it out:

There is a group that drives up from Peoria, IL.  Tony, Amedio and his group drive down from Milwaukee.  I even saw Lonnie at the last DYP and he drove up from Charleston, IL.
