Top 20 Foosball Cities (2008 NetFoos)

Here is link to the top 20 foosball cities if you don't see your city here and you think your city can make the top 20 tell your promoter to put up there results(the software is free).  They also added total payouts for the year.

Of course that list is bogus as far as foosball popularity in a given area.  Here in Fort Worth/Dallas only 1 bar uses Netfoos.  NetFoos gives the TD the ablility to fish for a partner, I would perfer that the brackets be drawn by hand out of a hat.   I do like the demographic possibilities of NetFoos.  If every DYP in the US would use this system it would provide a very valuable service for promoters.  So I guess what I am saying is, if you play in a dyp at a bar with internet access, take the lead and get them using Netfoos.  Just be sure to draw the teams up the old way!  ;)

doesn't it have an auto draw capability...most tournament software does and if it doesn't, it needs to get it ... should be able to do seeding and auto draw

It does, and if the TD doesn't like their pick they just draw it until they get someone they want.  >:(

Seems like they could easily do that out of a hat too though. I can't stand crooked TD's either way. I wouldn't want to play at that tourney at all if that really was going on.

If someone is going to rig the draw they will do it on a computer just the same as they will do it out of a hat. Why would it be any easier to rig on a computer?

We have used netfoos to run our tournaments for the last few months and it is way better than paper tournaments. I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about it.

that is totally uncool...I think a totally unbiased party, or a proven honest one, should do the drawing either way because drawing out of a hat does not make it "safe" from the TD who "manages" the draw

best thing to do is call the manager, bartender, waitress, etc over to do the draw, AND the placement on the chart...if it is online they only need to push one button and it is done because a TD, or biased person drawing, can also "manage" things by who they pair and at what point on the chart

Yeah I just have someone stand right there when I hit the "generate random DYP" button. We have never had a problem with anyone intentionally pairing players.

Umm  we have Mr Net foos himself down here in florida and we don't use net foos to draw our regular dyps.   We use a deck of cards..   we only use net foos to post the stats and for our big tourneys every once in a while.     I thought everyone used a deck of cards for drawing..   It's the easiest way.
