We held a Goalie Wars Tournament on the two Tornado ITSF Certified prototype tables. It was so much fun, I have a hard time describing it. We played a single elimination Goalie's Delight tournament. To enter you had to answer a questionnaire on the two ITSF Certified tables and the changes made to them. The rules where:
1 game - 1st to 3 wins.
Banks are worth 1 point
Straights are worth ½ point (The Jonny Lott Rule)
Stuffs are worth 2 Points ( The Carlos Rule)
Goalie’s Delight (Ball goes back to the person who scored last)
Single elimination.
We saw some monster bank shots by Jack Lenty who defeated Jeep. Paul Rhines while getting some real good video was Soundly defeated and was last seen walking away mumbling and looking about where he had left his shot. Phil Schlaefer was a monster hammering banks to both walls, but in the end it was Carlos (This week in Foosball ) Hernandez who defeated Schlaefer in a heated match and was crowned THE FIRST EVER that I know of TORNADO BANK SHOT CHAMPION.
I want to thank Scott Ferrell for suggesting that we have a tournament on the prototype tables and who got to drunk to play. Also, I want to thank Rod-Lock.com Brad Laurine for donating a pair of locks won by Mike Gentgen, and The Rules of Foosball DVD won by Mike Seirra.
If the prototype tables are at the US-Open or Texas State, I am going to try to do this again, but next time I am going to play. So all you old decrepped TS players, you better bring your A Game because none of you impressed me much and I am going to Dominate you!!!
PS. I bet I know what the next "This week in Foosball Video" will be about!!!
