Important Major Announcement By Warrior table Soccer
« on: March 29, 2010, 05:45:36 PM »

The only reason I am going into as much detail is that alot of you players are personal friends of mine and I feel you deserve an expaination.

For approximately 2 years Warrior Custom Golf and IFP have jointly been for running the largest Pro Foos tour in over 20 years. In spite of the fact that this was done in the worst economy in recent memory
and we were dealt several unforeseen obstacles, we still pushed forward attempting to establishing a new table and build goodwill. We believe that we gave the Foosball players who attended our events not only a lot of extras  they had never seen before, and thanks in large part to Mary Moore, events that were substantially more enjoyable than any that had ever been held in history.

Due to those reasons I believe that both Warrior and the IFP have developed a substantially amount of good will in the foosball community.

Like many long term relationships, differences of opinion will inherently materialize, even sometimes
when all parties are sincerely trying to do the right thing. I feel that exact situation has happened here and now at the worst possible time. We were in the mist of striking a new 2 year working relationship and right before we announced the details the St. Louis one hundred thousand dollar championship event. Unfortunately the differences in opinion regarding a few major areas cannot be rectified in time for Warrior to justify guaranteeing one hundred thousand dollars in prize money. The main areas that need to be ironed out are the financial obligations between Warrior and the IFP for the last two years, the reason for the decision of the IFP to go to a hollow rod, and the issue warrior has in which player rankings and ratings are calculated by the IFP along with possible issues of conflicts of interest in the scheduling of
matches during tournaments. Although these differences are not able to be rectified in time for St. Louis, Warrior feels that one way or another they should be able to be rectified in time for the IFP to be willing and able to run the Warrior tour events in 2011 (which could be some of the largest in history).  If for some reason the problems cannot be ironed out, the Warrior tour will still be held and we will wish the IFP the very best in their future endeavors.

As far as the rest of this year is concerned, Warrior will not be guaranteeing any prize money for the tournaments the IFP chooses to hold after Atlanta. The IFP will of course decide on all of the details of
their tournaments and be responsible for the prizes. (Since they have been doing that close to 20 years and have always come thru I would feel very confident that they will continue.) IFP has been offered the free use of up to 64 Warrior tables for any tournament they hold exclusively on Warrior between now and the end of the year. Also three thousand dollars in expense money for each of these tournaments and along with marketing support. Of course the decision to run or not to run any tournaments on Warrior tables for the rest of the year is completely up to the IFP. According to the records supplied to Warrior from the IFP there are approximately 35 tables that have been won by players on the IFP tour that have not been claimed. Of course we will still honor our commitment for these, all we ask is that anyone that has owed one of these tables they pick it up at the Atlanta tournament or make arrangements with Chris Fuchs at Warrior to cover the S&H and let us know where to send it. It has come to our attention that
there are several tournament jackets owed by the IFP to players. We have made an offer to the IFP that if they give us the information on who they are owed to and what events, Warrior will, thru one of our suppliers make these jackets and get them to the players. We cannot guarantee they will be the
exact same jacket as were given out before but we feel it will be as high quality or possibly even nicer. That decision is up to the IFP. If they allow Warrior to do this an announcement will be made. As a way of insuring that the Atlanta tournament is held and that this unforeseen situation does not affect this tournament Warrior has notified the IFP that we will pay out all the prize money at this tournament and the IFP will keep all entry fees collected as a show of good faith in negotiations with the IFP.

In closing although there are disagreements on certain points between Warrior and the IFP we feel that they are honest differences in opinion and understandings, not that one party is right and the other is wrong. Every dark cloud has a silver lining, in this case one major benefit is that over the next few months a lot of time and effort can be devoted to making improvements on the Warrior table and the creation of a coin op model. Another is a lot more planning can go into designing next year’s major tour.

I've always liked where Brendan was coming from. And I understand it is a business and as such he has to make some calls. Everything he has said has been above board and I'm certainly willing to wait and see what comes of all this. No, I'm not happy about it as I felt things were moving in a real positive direction and I don't want that to change. So I, for one, am patiently waiting to see how it works out as I really don't have any other options anyway. Go Bendan!
