Reverse defense on pull shots

Back in the 'day'(70's) I felt that the reverse defense allowed me to see the holes that a pull shooter might use rather than him or she. And so that has been my main defense for all that time. And now-a-days it seems to serve me quite well. I have caused  problems for a few of the region's better players with this defense. Sure the middle is at risk, as a goalie you can decide to play it tough or loose. I feel it is a good way to "play games" with a pull shooter and be on even ground with them so the stronger will wins.

Rookie question - what do you mean by "reverse defense"?

He means your 2bar-1bar basket is awkward because your right hand is closer to your body. The pull shooter is racing toward the two man, not away. Your far 2man is teamed with your goalie rather than the near 2man.
