Rock-it Foosball Table
« on: November 25, 2010, 03:11:37 PM »
Hi, new to the forum and had a few questions regarding the purchase of a new table.  I currently have a Deutsher Meister table from the 70's that we leave at the cottage, and I am looking for advice on an inexpensive table for my home.  I do not live in a metropolitan area, and live quite far from finding any local used tornados etc... I am looking to get either the Rene Pierre 'Goal' or a Rock-it foosball table.  Does anyone play or have played on any of these?  Also I have seen a place that is selling a Rock-it made by Shelti table, is this similar or a similar company to the ones that sell the rock-it table?

Any insight would be appreciated.  Looking at telescopic rods for safety around children.
Thanks
Mikey

Mikey-

Rock-It's are fun as hell to play on, the men pin the ball well and the playing surface is pretty "live" the only draw back to the table is the weight. It is very easy to jar, is this for home use or are you wanting to take your play to pubs to play tourneys? If it's for your home and thats it (have a ball with this table) Honestly I think they are a little over priced being what it is, but no worse than the "home" model Tornado's. As with any brand table going from one to the other can be challenging with ball control, I have a Warrior at home that I do not touch because it throws off the timing on Tornado tables during tourneys. Hope this helps.

How much do they want for the Rock-It model you are looking at?

Dont do it. I have played on them quite a bit and they are not a good table. Fun to play on for about 10 mins but then i lose interest. Try to get either a Fireball, Tornado, Even a Warrior is better. Just thought i would let you know.

Foosball.com... ask Jim Waterman or Debbie: info@foosball dot com

They have some great deals on some tables that were used in tour events and they have the ROCK IT tables as well, for sale. They are not on the website due to internal web hosting complication.

I mean ROCK BOTTOM PRICES!!!!
