Is this coin-op a good deal?

At the risk of having this table snatched out from under me  :-[ , I thought I'd run this listing past you guys, as you're more knowledgeable than myself in the realm of Tornado coin-op tables.

It looks to me to be the grey marble version?  He's calling it a 3000 series, but it doesn't look like the other 3000's that I've seen online.  It also looks like there's possibly some issues with the laminate on the top edge of the side rails, based on the second picture.  Would this be a big deal if there are no other issues?  I'm assuming I could just re-glue it.  My dad does commercial carpentry and works with the stuff all day long, so I'm confident we could get the laminate glued back down correctly.

It's a little out of my budget, so he's working with me and has knocked $50 off his asking price, so the table would be $600.  Should I go and check it out?

Thanks in advance!

Yes that table is worth looking at. It may have the famed merkel rods. Price isn't terrible either.

If the laminate is not coming loose because of swelling of the side rail, it's no problem.  Check it out in person and make sure it's not.  If it's swollen, it's a parts table unless your dad is really feeling ambitious.  Not an easy fix.
