Pat has some good advice for finding what is causing the pain to begin with but this won't fix the pain you already have
a couple of things
first, it will take a while to heal...you may want to see a doctor and have it xrayed to see if you are dealing with a break or just ligament/muscle issues
time to heal doens't mean don't play for 4-8 weeks but it means be real careful about what you do so you don't continue to injure or re-injure your wrist
as a pull shot shooter, you should learn to do a spray long and a squared off long in addition to your angle back...you should have a great straight which you can shoot at least 4 ways...you need lots of middles, angles, squared off, 2 hole, 3 hole, and 4 hole...you should be able to shoot most of all these options while rolling the ball into position
so, this is a good time to practice these and many other things...do your shooting with less power, try not to use your muscles, and study defenses and shoot with your mind not brute strength
also, this can be a great time to force yourself to practice more ball control because you can't get too much of that...you can learn to do something that doesn't require pushing your wrist - like tic tacs, palm rolls, etc
this can be a great time to discipline yourself to learn and do other things and in the mean time, do what Past said and have someone study your shot...
oh, and if you are stubbing the ball, just don't start with the ball so far back...keep inching it forward little by little until you stop stubbing and can still do your stroke
