Tornado table (I have two problems!)
« on: March 27, 2008, 06:09:35 AM »
Hello,

I have a couple of questions.

I'm looking to get a new Tornado table, first i was hooked on the Cyclone, but after reading alot I found out that I could NOT live without a Tournament table (or coin up), so here's my first problem:

1. What table (Tournament/Coin) should I pick and which models (year), please include picture links so there are no misunderstandings? I read that the quality of the newer models (steel exterior) is not as great as older models, thats why I would really like to find out which model to get. And btw. where can I find used tables?

2. My second problem, I live in Denmark - anybody who have some information on sending tables to europe?

Thanks.

Any T-2000 is worth getting if it is in good shape. I am also looking for one - the older versions were the wood grain as in the pictures above and also one that looked like marble, the newest one is the metal look of the F5 and they feel just as good as the other T2000 when in coin op.

the tables are released in this order i am fairly certain

Brown Marble
Blond
Rosewood (see in pictures just posted)
Grey Marble anniversary
Grey Marble post anniversary
F5

one of my friends played in MI on the F5 which Mary Moore had fixed the playfields so they weren't warped and he said outside of the bumper issue, which is being addressed, he really really liked the way the table played...best experience he has had

I wouldn't pay more than $700 based on that description. Now cosmetics are one thing but bent bars are going to have to be replaced and they are not cheap.

$700 higher than top dollar for a Brown Marble and then it would have to have all new heat-treated rods, all new or like new men, and be in nearly perfect condition in every other way

$400-$550 is more common...i actually consider $600 top dollar for a Brown Marble

a person asking $1000 either really doesn't know what they are talking about or they do and they are trying to take advantage of someone who doesn't know any better

the Brown Marble hasn't been made since early 90s I think...it has been at least 12 years since it was made

If you can find those in that price range I'll take 3.

600 ubucks for bent rods and damaged cabinet is too much!  U can buy grey marble coin ops in great condition for 750.

Sniffer...keep an eye out on eBay and Craigs list, and you will find them for that cost

ok, because those are perfect tables to put on location somewhere . I mean they can get beat to hell and for that price you make your money back in no time. I've never seen a coin-op on ebay for that price but I'll keep my eye out.
