I'd like to hear how it went from Ice. I'm on his side as he's the guy I met here and he's helped me on things and I want to support and understand how it went for him. I love competition and nobody overcomes it always, isn't that the spice of life? Thank the good Lord for that! So Ice, buddy, tell us your thoughts and takes. Really it helps those of us who would like to follow in your foot steps. Should we be able to come even close to where you are because of you, how good is that?
That's pretty funny OM. You shouldn't have everyone set their standards so low. People usually follow me for awhile, but they usually end up shoving me out of the way, lol.
As far as my thoughts and takes, I adopted what I saw in an interview of some famous baseball player years ago, sorry I don't remember his name. What he said has stuck with me and is the way I approach all competition and anything else for that matter.
What he said was that every time he played he gave 100%. On the good days, the result would equal or surpass 100%. But on some days, the results would only equal 70 or 80%. Even though your results are not satisfactory, you still want your " effort " to be 100% or more.
As far as the tourney was concerned, Rick Macias and I won a meatball match in the losers side of OD only to find out an hour and a half later we should have played win by two. At first they said we won the match but then it was decided we had to finish the match. Then we lost. Oh well.
As far as competition is concerned, I never try to overcome it, I embellish it..
