The best goalies from the south would have to include guys like:

Bill Bell
John Zoller
Russ King
Joey Guercia
Donald Wilson

All are real tough to score on but some definitely shoot well from the nets. (Bill & Joey are monsters from the back offensively)

well  ...    Lori Shrantz  &  Johnny Lott  were both pretty tough goalies.

Yeah,

Laurie Gunther too, Casey Pruitt (RIP), and Bobby Diaz, of course.

And Lott used to hold far forward on the handles so it physically stopped the goalplayer or the 2bar from going too far, feathering the long and the 3/4 hole in his race D.  Of course, this sometimes meant mangled & bloody thumbs & forefingers at the end of a tough match.
