Loffredo 1977 video clippage in his prime!
« on: July 08, 2009, 03:28:55 PM »
Hello there my foosball family & friends of 30 years plus.

How's everyone doing?

Well, this is ole'washed up bastard from the 1970's. Loffredo in 1977 was the best foosball that you will ever see. When he play Alwell Todd did NOT miss 1 pass or shot in the decisive game to take control of the tournament.

But, my post is in anger. I am hurt. I cannot believe on any of my previous posts nobody out there responded to HELP me get in touch with anyone who has some clippage. I WILL PAY YOU DOLLAR$.

I thought we were suppose to be "FAMILY".
Oh!
My bad, its a family of "if there's nothing in it for me", then I'M OUT!
My bad.

Thanks anyways,
Come on people please help me here!
My pull-shot is old but I believe with Toddy's clippage from 1977 world's in St. Louis, MO. I can finally get my world title at 55' and break all records. I know, dream on. OK! I WILL.
Unbelievable!
Thanks, for nothin'
Bob C.

welcome back to the family...slow down, a lot has happened since you been out of the country...respect todays game first and move back to the beginning from there instead of the other way around and you will make a lot of friends along the way, otherwise you will get resistance at every step...I am 52 and started playing in 1975ish and had a 20 year layoff after early 80's so I am talkin as a brother from more than one aspect...

didn't I respond to you? if not, I started to...anyway, no video of Todd in 77 that I have ever heard about and I am a video junkie...it would be on youtube you can bet or would have surfaced on one of the boards over the last 4 years I have  been on but no, no, no

the early years form InsideFoos will give you all the Todd video you need...mechanics haven't changed between 77 and now, just a slight reduction in horizontal speed...how do I know, I saw 1977 Worlds and saw Todd in person just a couple of months ago

what is your last name Bob C?

Mr. Bastard,

I would post on several boards "Request for Todd L" and specifically ask him if he knows of any footage of the match you're looking for. If anybody knows of the existence of that footage, it would be Todd and I know he views Phil's board. Getting angry about something that likely doesn't even exist is no way to treat family members! LOL.

I would guess that if Robert Ismert couldn't locate any for his movie, it probably doesn't exist. The person to ask would be Larry Davis.

BTW, from what I've been told Gil Jackson had a little something to do with their win.  ::)

Bastard here,

I'm sorry Gil Jackson died in a motor-cycle wreck, but I do know that he was a risk taker because one summer in 1978' up in the Colorado mountains I went climbing with him and his crue. However, I did not go where he wanted to go. Too much risk sometimes equals= STUPID MOVE!
I loved him. He was a great guy. Alcohol abuse=death!

But, when Toddy' goes 5-5 on both his 5 & 3. And, Alwell goes 4-4 on both his 5 & 3, let's see here tuff' call here. Not 1 block by either GOALIE means Toddy' had the drop and Kenny didn't. So, in reality! It was ALL TODDY BABY!
Right? Right! Your bloody' well right.

My last name is Curtain. "They call me:"CURTAIN-CALL"!!!!

Thanks for the footage but if I want to do some:

"TRICKS ARE FOR KIDS" stuff,

I'll just get some DON SWAN video clippage. Thanks for the effort though, but gotta' go: LONG that is. My! My!

But, how does the Warrior play compared to Tornado for REAL!

Its nice to be back with my foosball family. To say I saw, played, never beat TODDY BOY, is an honor. But, I'm not stupid:

I do not shoot a snake shot and Todd in 77' is as:
 "good-as-it-gets".

Thanks,
Love you all,
Bob C.

This has a really foul Hortonian stench around it.

Bob Curtain is a real person and Horton may be stealing his identify but I don't think so, Horton came around to the FACT that Fredric C is the best player that ever lived, ask Todd

I think instead of Curtain Call, we are going to call you BC (Before Collignon)

Todd would not have had that ONE game to be so hot in if it wasn't for Gil's defense, nerve, his offense, and his ability to keep Todd focused...again, ask Todd if he would have won that year without Gil...silly

sure, Todd one this game or that, but so did Gil and you can't seperate the intangibles Gil brought to the table - cool under pressure way beyond his 17 years and able to keep Todd on track when Todd was nervous beyond words

Todd is an amazing player, next to FC in my book but you are new back so you have some catching up to do

I told you man, start with respect of now and move the other direction rather than assumption that the best already happened and everything now is a mere shadow of the "best years"
