WE FINALLY GOT THE PERFECT PLACE FOR OUR THIRD ATTEMPT TO HOST THE LOUISIANA STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I an signing the contract right now, so give them until Tuesday before you start making your reservations and please make them right away. Lets keep this location. We need good room sales and early reservations. This will keep them having us every year.

We are so lucky to get this place, I have been trying since last year to find a place for us, so please even local players pitch in and share a room for at least one night to get the real feel of the hotel.

Rates are $94 for a luxury room extra large and historical with balconies over looking Bourbon street, these will go fast so book today. Since it is in the french Quarter there are parking fees that apply normal is $25 a night, they came down to $10. There is a fee for Internet in the rooms, BUT they will waive these fees if you join or are a member of Wyndham by request. You will need to join their free program before the event and get free Internet plus other nice perks.

I am working on the flier this weekend so spread the word, we are having a foos party in the French Quarter!!!!
No Hurricanes Allowed!!!!!!!!

        I just wanted to make sure your a rookie, according to talent it seems fair, because with the

ratings the way they are they could really screw you and put up to amateur which really doesn't seem

fair. Ive seen you play lately and you suck huge rhinoseros ***. You couldn't hit an elephant in a bird

cage with a dart. Let me know because I might consider playing with you in rookie sometime.

Speaking of that Warrior table. Nobody has gave me any feed-back on the actual play compared to Tornado.
I mean,

QUALITY vs. MONEY?

I'm looking to purchase 50 coin-ops cash, but seriously without being prejudice at all. How does it "REALLY" fair up to the standard pushing 30 years now???

Bob, I want you to pay attention now, because you apparently have to really work on your attention span.

Warrior does NOT make a coin-op. That is NO coin-op. NO table that will take coins.


Maybe later, but if you want 50 coin-ops now buy Tornado. In the mean time go to an IFP tournament like Louisana State, always a good time, and see for yourself how a few hundred people handle the Warrior. It's different and evolving. Any answers you get here may well be good and honest but representative of just those 2 or 3 people's style of play, tolerance for change, and skill at adjustment.

Hey guys, 1st of all bob c I appreciate you having my back, and I mean that, but what you gotta realize spray is an old buddy of mine. Ive known him for thirty years and he's competed
with the best of them, hasnt won anything much on tour. and will beg, cry, steal, threaten, bribe, lie, anything he can think of to get me to play goalie for him. As you probly already know that last post of his is not the way to go.

Forget about that, to address a legitament subject.....


You asked about the playing characteristics of a Warrior Table vs tornado.

I pride myself in being able to be objective on any subject dispite my biases,so here it goes.


A 1000-1500 dollar tornado vs a 500-750 warrior

Tornado a more solid table, ball movement is faster but less ball control. The ball control is important because it allows begining or less skilled players to compete with more skilled players.

Do not have coin-ops avail yet but should have in less than 12 months.

I am commited over the long term to not only improve the quality of the table, ( i believe in a relitively short time a table can be producedthat is of equal or better quality than a tornado but still at half the price) but the tour should be run as an advertising and promotional tool, not a profit center. (unless those profits come from sponsors, not entry fees)

If you need 50 coin op tables for your income now, then i would not dream of interfearing with your buisness.

But even though most people will tell you I am saying this out of selfishness I can assure you that the sale of 50 or 500 foosball tables will not affect my lifestyle one bit.

I believe 100 percent that within a 1 to 3 year period that Warrior will be the table that will be the table that foosers will demand beause of the large tour and overwhelming advertising and promotion.

That said I do not hjave a crystal ball and cannot guarenttee the sun will come up tommorro never mind anything else. I did think because of your kind words about me and the obvious fact that you go back to the heyday of foos, T.S days, You at least deserved to get my honest thoughts on the table.

P.S.  I will be at the New Orleans and Hawaii tourny's if you can make either you will see that Mary Moore and I are making foos tourn's alot more fun like the old days and would love to see you at one or both.

Sir Flair has given and honest assesment but let me add a little from a totally unbiased perspective and someone with no skin in the game with either table

I started on TS (Green, Blue, Brown) played on earlier Dynamo and Tornado a little and have been on any number of other tables, like Bonzini, through the years even though I didn't always know what it meant at the time.

I own a Tornado and as you know I recommend them for people living in the US looking to buy a used table.

but this recommendation is NOT based on playability--I have played on the Warrior and I really enjoyed it...I still like and respect Tornado and I think the current T3000 with its modifications may be the best table they have ever made, certainly top 2 and is right there with the Brown Marble.

they made some key modifications (not going far enough on the man design in my opinion but better than nothing) which have improved play in some ways and they have recently settled on a ball design which keeps its new ball "fuzz" longer

I will talk about other characteristics in the next post but for now, lets just talk the ball and how it impacts playability

I THINK THE WARRIOR BALL IS THE BEST FOOSBALL EVER MADE...I used to play around with the idea but now after quite a while and time with the new Tornado ball, I think there is nothing better than the Warrior ball

okay, part 2 but this is all i have time for today

tons more ball control on Warrior, not just a little and a very big impact to how the tables play different is that the Warrior balls are lighter than the T and the rods are heavier

so, besides the obvious impacts of added "stickiness" like catching balls and improved flexibility with a pinned ball (front and back) Warrior makes shooting inline shots harder...lighter ball and heavier rod mean you have to make stroke adjustments...these adjustments are easier made in front than on the two bar

i have a better than average 2 bar and can usually rely on scoring with it in singles and doubles but in one weekend, i did not have enough time on the 2 bar (I was playing forward most of the time) to transition so that I could do all the inline fineness stuff I am used to

you can make the adjustments in both cases but the stokes change and just thought a person making a full comparison would like to know

most consistent compliment is the ball and added ball control and the most consistent compliant is the heavier solid rods...I did not notice any extra wear on my arm but I was shooting a backpin that weekend and that makes a big difference

MAN DESIGN/EDGE DESIGN
Man very similiar to Tornado except the cross hatch on the front foot goes all the way to the edge and all the way up the front of the man and the Warrior does not strips running down the side of the table.  Tornado's newest table redesigned their man and have thinner clear slightly wider strips running down the side in place of the old white strip (result is it is like not having a strip). 

In both cases, the tables were intending to improve "banks" and angles...both are improved, neither takes it back to TS and Warrior, even after Tornado improvements, is better.  Fix for either table to bring them back to TS flexibility is simple but no one will listen to me...make the front edge of the man a straight edge, cross hatch to the edge, edge is right angle

TABLE STABILITY/BUILD QUALITY
Warrior has a better design for keeping table from wobbling by having the legs come all the way up to the top of the cabinet (inside) where Tornado stops in the bottom portion of the split top
however, the Warrior is so much lighter, the design improvement does not make a better playing experience and at tournaments, Warrior has added weight to their tables to try and compensate

As Sir Flair has already conceeded, Tor is better made (meaning STURDIER) but let take a shot on the difference....A scale of 1-10 for sturdy built foosball tables compared with other tables made (not with how well a table could be made)

Tornado is the standard by which others are measured and should get a 9-10
Warrior's first run of tables is like a 4-5

this durability sturdiness can impact play when the ball comes off the walls on the Warrior which suffers some issues with the side and back walls staying firmly together

RODS
long story I am not getting into right now, all things considered, advantage goes to Tornado right now
Warrior solid rod play vs Tornado hollow rod play - both have about the same durability right now.
