Update- NC Open Bonzini
« on: March 08, 2012, 10:37:08 AM »
*All the rooms at the Hampton Inn have been booked. Gloria is getting another block of 10 rooms today. Looks like we are going to have a couple of players from Ohio and Florida attending. I expect a pretty good turnout for this 2-day event (60-70 players). Also we will announce the location site for the SC State Foosball Championships tomorrow.

With an excellent start at the 2012 SC Foosball Open, we expect a fairly large turnout in April in Wilmington, NC. The tournament weekend will start on Thursday with our BreakTime Billiards/ Bonzini U.S.A. Spring Scramble at Castlebay Country Club and continue on Friday with our Novice and DYP events. We have instituted a few changes this year in regards to  out traditional Friday night DYP. Our DYP will have a "no conflict" condition for our Novice ranked players. This will insure the start and hopefully completion of the DYP on Friday night so that we can have a clean slate for our Saturday events. For all of our Expert and Master rated player, thank you for your patience in the past. This will hopefully get your table time and tournament action you've been waiting for. We will have some local media exposure so please dress to impress. The Brigade Boys and Girls Club is our adopted charitable organization for this tournament and the kids are truly greatful for our efforts. They now have 3 great tables to play on with a 4th coming to their facility after the 2012 NC State Foosball Championships. This is going to be a really fun 2-day tournament event.  We may even get a visit from the:

Bud Girls of Wilmington

Shoot me an e-mail if you are going to be a 1st Timer at a Bonzini U.S.A. Foosball Tour event.

Beef'O'Brady's

Suite 110
Fort Mill, SC

Beautiful location.
Huge PR asssitance
Media coveage

Rivals the layout to Breaktime Billiards in Wilmington.
Extemely clean and new.

I'll give out more info later next week.
We are still in the process of deciding whether to make it 2 or 3 day event.
SC players will be impressed.
All we have to do is put on a good show for the spectators

Interesting, not too far for me to travel. As long as the pay outs are good players wont mind traveling a little ways. We might pick up a few new players to Bonzini out of Charlotte as well. Can't wait! Thanks for the info Alan. See ya at NC Open partner :)

Payout will be about the same for a $1,500.00.
Just think though, Bobby and Jim ran an entry fee tournament and got 62 players.
Pretty cool way to kick off the year.
The SC State will be pretty special this year. I love how the room lays out.
Hopefully the poster for the SC State and NC State will be done at the end of this week.
