Fireball table opinions and availability in BC/Washingon
« on: July 28, 2013, 05:20:20 PM »
Hi all,

After reading lots of opinions I've become interested in possibly purchasing a Fireball table.  However, looking around I cannot seem to find a place to actually buy one.  Their website is pretty unhelpful and the only place I've found to actually buy one is in the UK and even they are out of stock.

So... does anyone know how I would get hold of one of these?  I live in British Columbia near the Washington state border.  If buying within the USA I could have it shipped to WA and pick it up there.

Also, general opinions on Fireball vs. the alternatives?  I'm only interested in single-goalie tables.  Are Fireballs as good as they seems or should I look elsewhere?

Thanks,

Paul

Hello meghead,
I bought a Fireball about 18 months ago. It's very sturdy, easy to assemble and has the best playing characteristics of any table I've ever played on. I shoot a backpin which I find difficult to shoot on Tornado (some other backpin shooters seem to do better on Tornado than me) but very easy to shoot on my Fireball. It's easy to catch the ball by pinning it, frontpin or backpin. Banks are crisp from the back but shooting banks from the 3rod center man is very difficult. 3rod banks with the far man are much easier. I find that all shots are possible on this table. The ball is awesome and when it gets dirty just wash it in the sink with regular dishwater, dry, and it's like new. The only complaint I have is that Fireball abandoned their tour right after I spent $1,347.00 for the "Official ITSF Table!" That sucks.

If you buy a table you might find that the rods stick. Wash them down with hot soapy water and a clean rag. Then clean them again with  hot clean water and a clean rag.

This is a killer table and I recommend it.

Thanks for the recommendation Buckshot -- where did you buy your table from? It seems like these things are pretty elusive.

Anybody have a source for purchasing a Fireball table please?

Hello Paul,
I sent you the following email shortly after you wrote on Sunday.

"Hello Paul and thank you for the inquiry into the best playing table in the WORLD!

The website no longer functions as a source for sales.

Dennis Jiang, owner of Fireball has the sales for North America. Mr. Jiang lives and works out the factory in China. As you can see, I have included him in on this email.

I also have included a person that might have a coin op table available for you. His name is Mike Holbert. I have included him, as well, on this email. Mike is out of the Portland Oregon area.

If you do not hear from either one of these people, I would suggest that you contact them directly.

Thank you and good luck, Brad Laurine"

I hope that this will help. Thank you Brad Laurine

Hello again  Paul meghead,

I was going to suggest that you get hold of Brad Laurine, the gentleman who used to work for Fireball and sold me my table, but I see that he already responded to your question about where to get a table. Fireball lost a good man when they parted ways.

Hello Brad, I hope life's treating you well. I'll be in Runaway Bay, Texas, in August for the Warrior tournament and I hope to see you there. I love my table, too bad there's no Fireball tour.

Buckshot

Buckshot! you are the man!

Thank you for the support and all the foosball love.
Fireball is the best playing table in the world! Not just because I had a hand in it but because it is soooo smooooth!

I play every week on my tables and then a few times a month on Tornado. Man, it is like going from Steak to Hamburger.
