T3000 question
« on: December 10, 2013, 07:48:54 AM »
i picked up a used T3000 coin op recently,
my problem is i don't know much about this table  and the bars feel really stiff and when i rock the ball it makes the rod go up and down against the bearing.
this feels pretty weird compared to my old table

i already changed the bearings around but that didn't do anything.
rods don't seem to be bend either.

what could be causing this?

I know sometimes if the table is not perfectly level it can cause the rods to drag. In a sense the cabinet can twist and result in a problem like you are describing. I would play with the height/level of the table. If that doesn't fix it then come back to the drawing board.

I leveled it pretty good but the rods still move against the bearing from time to time when rocking the ball to certain spots ...

when i change up the bearing it seems to be better but not perfect.
i ordered new bearings so will see what that does.
otherwise im going to assume the rods are bend and get those replaced aswell.

another question

the coin mech seems to be very stiff.
i have to press with an insane amount of force to release the balls.

is there any way to get this smoother? like oil the stuff on the inside of the table?

If the table is new it may take some time for the coin mech to get broken in. I know that I have heard of someone greasing the inside of the mech but Im not sure how.
