Info wanted on old glasstop table called "The Hustler". Looks like Dynamo

Hi Everyone, I used to play on a Dynamo table that looked exactly like this one back in 1980 in Omaha. I bought a different model dynamo in 1983 that had glass also but it was broken (1995) when someone tried to move it when I wasn't there. I searched for years for a piece of glass with no luck and just found this table recently on craigslist.
Could this be an early pre-dynamo named table? None of the men or bearings are stamped dynamo like later tables. It has a serial # inside of 0027, and the table top tips up for access to the inside. I purchased it for $600 so I'm just looking for any info available. Thanks and I enjoy reading the posts on this forum. tydy

REALLY? 30 + views and nobody has any info or comments whatsoever? Oh well. I'm happy as hell to have found this table and thats all that matters. Later.

tydy, if I thought knew what kind of table this is I would be glad to tell you my opinion, but unfortunately I've never seen one before. There are some extremely knowledgeable foosers on this site so I'm somewhat surprised that no one has replied to your question. Try one of the other foosball forums and maybe you'll have better luck. Someone out there surely knows.

I know a fair amount about the old style tournament tables. This one doesn't ring a bell. Looks like a well made clone.

That's a pre 1981 Tornado cabinet. There is no patent plate so it could be a knock off? Interesting.

I've played on these before. Mid 70's I think. Just one of a bunch of different tables that had a short run. Hustler, Burner, Globe, Mirco, American....and probably 50 more I can't think of right now. It wasn't a bad playing table from what I remember.

Thanks for the info. I grew up in small town iowa and only saw Deutscher Meister or TS tables until I moved to Omaha in 1980. They (DYNAMOs) were everywhere at that time. A friend told me about the old tornado glasstops but I have never seen one. tydy

I live in a small town in central Iowa and still to this day play occasionally on a couple different glass top tables. Though of course the only tournaments around here are on tornado. one of my older friends that played back in the 70's with a bunch of bikers still has two original Deutsche Meister tables.

Looks like an Italian style of play knock off with those ramps.

Can you lift the top or does the glass slide in from the ends?

Offline tydy

The top lifts on the Hustler like the old dynamos. My other Dynamo had a slide in glass on a shelf. Ive been contacted about a replacement glass for it and will be fixing it up this spring. tydy
