Cyclone ii. Worth it?
« on: January 11, 2014, 07:14:30 PM »
I have been looking for a Tornado coin-op locally with no success.  Today I came across a 7 yr old cyclone ii for $500.   I am not interested in playing competitive but would like to get a solid table that can handle abuse of kids as well as me and a few buddies :).   Can't tell a lot from pictures but posting indicates it is in excellent condition.   Assuming that is the case...thoughts?

One additional thought I had was to go with Warrior.  Appreciate everyone's input.

Great forum!

Cyclone II is a nice practice/home table. I owned a good condition used for a couple of years before purchasing my first coin op. $500 is considered high. Especially to the "experts" on this board. I always temper that with some perspective. If you want the table and its REALLY clean— no warping, rusted rods, bent rods, chipped laminate etc, etc, then offer the guy $400 cash and see what happens. In reality if you wanted to wait it out you could purchase a used coin op for around that price and have a table that will last a lifetime if taken care of properly. Haven't played on the new warriors but again, for a little more money a brand new table. Either way good luck and enjoy your new table!
