American Heritage Tourney Table?
« on: January 19, 2014, 12:03:12 AM »
Im in the market for my first table, mostly for in my rec room as a hobbyist, but i have been playing daily at my office for some time (on an old torn up harvard lol) and though its more for casual fun, if im going to spend the $ id like something i can progress on and control.  That said, for my price range (500-700max) ive narrowed down to a couple.  The front runner being this:

What "looks" to be a really good deal on an "American Heritage Tourney" table.  Seems to be up to spec, but my main concern im hoping somebody can shed some light on, is if the "quality" of this and value prop driving the price up on this table is based more on its cabinetry craftsmanship/furniture decor and less on work thats gone into it making it high quality for "foosball", since the company seems to focus more on nice rec room furniture type stuff and not solely on foosball like many of the grand+ tables.  Ive read a lot of talk about the tornado coin op for my price, but im impatient and not too concerned with having the absolute best, would rather buy new. Im also considering the Warrior, but am drawn to the build quality (and cup holders lol) of the American Heritage, anyone have some insight on this table and/or company?

absolutely open to other suggestions as well, i feel like ive exhausted the internets foosball table options and theyre kind of becoming a blur.

Thanks a ton!

I am not sure there is much advice you can get that will not conflict with your  desire to buy new in that price range.  Before you make your purchase spend a few weeks watching craigslist.    In the price range your looking at,  a good condition coin-op or even high end tornado home model in like new condition would be a better option.  If your would disclose your general location you may get some leads from this board.     Best of luck.

you know after posting that and more looking ive definitely become open to getting a used Tornado/fireball/shelti.

Im in Redmond Washington, nothing i can find in reasonable distance so far, would be great to get a hit on here if someone catches wind of anything.  Thanks.

You can get a brand new Fireball Coin Op for 1299. It's above your price range, but the resale value if you ever decide to will be much higher on a Coin Op. Not sure the pricesof Fireball home model, but definitely less and they're great tables. Mike is much closer to you than me so the shipping would be substantially less than mine. You may even be able to pick up or see if he'd be able to arrange meeting you to save on cost that way. If not Warrior tables are supposed to be real nice to play on, just not quite as durable, but I'd imagine still leagues above sporting goods tables. If you decide to go Fireball, Email Mike at ponytail420@comcast.net Get ahold of him as an option just to see what your options are.
