Topic: IS this a T-2000 Table?

Ok, I am going to buy this table but just wanted to possibly get some more information from more experienced guys on this forum... So basically, what can you guys tell me from these pictures?

So it does. Wishful thinking on my part.

This table would not have been delivered with Merkels. I suppose there is a chance that a previous owner may have replaced the rods with Merkels, but that seems unlikely.

I think I have seen that table on craigslist. I see no score sets. Make sure they have them. 2 new sets will run around $30. Is it me or do the locks look like they might be drilled out? Look into that also. Locks may be around $10 a piece. That there table is a fixer upper. I have done fixed up 5 tables. It is fun. Low ball him on the price if these things are true.

Good eye Chaggy, that is indeed a fixer upper. Although it may not seem obvious, functioning locks are essential even on a home-use coin-op. If not locked, the top half of the cabinet will constantly lift during hard play.

well apparently the scoring bar and beads are inside the table. it was taken off for transport. as for the locks I am not sure if they are drilled out. It could be a funny lighting or angle on the camera

If the playfield and rods are ok, it's not a parts table.  If you're going to upgrade it, you may spend more on upgrades than on the table itself.  You do need to replace the locks if they won't stay engaged.  Otherwise, it looks like a pretty good table and will outlast you if you take care of it.  You never said what the seller is asking for it (or I missed it) so it's not possible to say whether it's a good deal or not.

Well the seller says it is in excellent condition. And is complete. The table is $300. However the downside is I am from Canada and I will have to get the table shipped to North Dakota. The Reason I have looked so far out of my way is because there simply aren't any tornados around here in Winnipeg Manitoba. There are a couple of nearby provinces selling some T-2000's, but they seem to want $1000+shipping... which is waaaaay out to lunch

I also have the opportunity to pick up a Storm II table that is apparently absolutely mint for $350, which I would have to drive 6 hours to get.
