I had a horribly bent three rod that a friend replaced through a supply company for me that feels strange compared to the rest. I've replace a rod before so I don't think it's just that it's new. It seems to have a bit more drag than the rest and it makes a sound when pulled. Similar to that of quickly running a fingernail over a holographic picture. There appears to be fine grooves circling the rod. Less shiny than the rest. Did the accidentally give him a home model rod as opposed to the commercially heat treated ones? I don't play at the level that it matters much aside from the annoyance, just curious as to why if anyone knows. Thanks.
