Dallas Tornado Original Foosball Table
« on: April 08, 2014, 10:23:32 AM »
I've inherited an original Dallas Tornado foosball table and I'm trying to find out the following:

1) Who built these?
2) What's it worth?
3) What's the best way to market it for sale?

Thanks!

1) Bob Hayes and Bob Furr.  Hayes was the owner.  Furr was the designer.  Furr thought he could improve the design of the German style tables.  The larger cabinets became known as Texas style cabinets.  Bob Furr is a personal friend of mine and would get a kick out of see it.  Bob Hayes passed away many years ago.

2) I have no idea what one is worth but it would be more for a collector than your casual person.  If it's in good shape, I would guess about 150 but a collector would probably go higher than that.

3) Ebay would reach the highest audience.  One of the foos boards would be the best way to reach a collector.    Regardless, pictures would be mandatory if you want to get top dollar.

I'm assuming you are in the Houston area.  You might try contacting some of the players there.  On Saturday nights, there is a tournament at Fast Eddies at about Fuqua and I45 in south Houston.  Maybe they could put you on track to reach some of the players who may be interested.

Thank you very much.  That is a ton of great information.  I cannot figure out how to attach photos of the table for you to send to Bob but I can email them separately.  My email is kwhite@whiterecorp.com.

Thanks again,

Kevin
